The Okanagan Skaha Mountain Bike Club (OSMBC) is excited to launch our fall youth ride program for riders in Grades 8–12. Over seven weeks, participants will ride in small groups led by experienced leaders, building skills, fitness, and trail confidence while enjoying some of the best terrain in the South Okanagan.
Program Overview
- Who: Youth in Grades 8–12
- Cost: $120 for the full 7-week program
- Skill level: Riders should be comfortable climbing trails and descending dark blue and black singletrack
- Ride format: Riders will pedal uphill on designated routes and descend as a group, supported by OSMBC ride leaders
Schedule & Locations
- Thursday, September 11 – Soft Start
- Meet at Rusty Muffler parking lot (Three Blind Mice)
- 5:00–6:30 PM downhill-focused ride due to recent air quality conditions
- Thursdays, September 18 & 25; October 2 & 9
- 4:30–6:30 PM regular format (climb + descent)
- Wednesdays, October 15 & 22
- 4:30–6:30 PM (shifted to accommodate PT interviews and Pro-D days)
Trail Networks
Rides will rotate between:
- Three Blind Mice (Naramata)
- Campbell Mountain (Penticton)
- Carmi Recreation Area (Penticton)
- Conkle Mountain (Summerland)
Registration
- Riders must complete OSMBC membership via Hivepass
- Parents must sign the waiver form
- Program fee: $120 via Stripe
