We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Okanagan Skaha Mountain Bike Club (OSMBC) this fall! Our first season will kick off with youth rides on the local trails and pump track sessions at Poplar Grove. These programs are designed to introduce young riders to the sport, build confidence, and strengthen skills in a fun and supportive environment. Looking ahead, we’ll be expanding to include enduro and downhill race teams in 2026, creating even more opportunities for riders to challenge themselves and grow.
Our Sponsors and Supporters
We’re proud to be supported by local businesses who believe in the value of youth sport and community recreation. Singer Automotive has been with us from the beginning, committing to sponsor our programs from 2024 through 2026. Their long-term support has played a key role in helping us get the club off the ground and continue to grow. We’re equally grateful to Beam Orthodontics, who have recently renewed their sponsorship with a three-year commitment from 2024 through 2027. Together, these founding partners make it possible for us to launch with confidence and keep expanding opportunities for young riders.
Fundraising Goals
A major focus for our fundraising this year is the purchase of a trailer for bike transport. This will allow us to shuttle bikes and gear efficiently for rides, practices, and future races. With the support of sponsors, families, and the community, we’re already making progress toward this goal, and every contribution helps us get closer.
About Us
The Okanagan Skaha Mountain Bike Club (OSMBC) is dedicated to creating opportunities for riders of all ages to explore, develop, and enjoy the sport of mountain biking. Based in the South Okanagan, we support youth programs, community rides, skills development, and events that bring riders together on our incredible local trails.
Our mission is to make mountain biking more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable by building strong partnerships with local sponsors, families, and community organizations. From toddler strider sessions at the pump track to advanced training for downhill and enduro racing, we believe in supporting riders at every stage of their journey.
Just as important as building technical skills is helping our athletes grow as individuals. We place a strong emphasis on developing grit, perseverance, and determination — qualities that help young riders push through challenges on the trail and carry forward into all areas of life.
Through volunteer efforts, fundraising, and ongoing community support, OSMBC is working toward long-term goals such as building a dedicated skills park and providing equipment to make the sport more approachable for new riders. With the motto Fortitudine Vincimus — Through Endurance, We Conquer — we’re committed to building not just strong riders, but a stronger community.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. As we grow, our focus will remain on creating a welcoming, challenging, and supportive environment for youth and families who want to be part of the mountain biking community. With the continued support of our sponsors and the energy of our riders, the future looks bright — and fast!
