Winter Training Program

This November, OSMBC is teaming up with CrossFit Penticton to offer a focused off-season strength and conditioning program designed specifically for mountain bikers.

Schedule

  • Mondays & Wednesdays
  • 3:20 – 4:20 pm
  • Starting in November

Training Focus
Riders will build mountain bike–specific strength, power, and endurance through:

  • Unilateral leg strength & stamina – lunge and single-leg squat variations for balanced power.
  • Bilateral power development – weighted squat progressions and power cleans to increase explosive capacity.
  • Core strength & stability – rotational and anti-rotational drills for improved control on the bike.
  • Upper body training – shoulder strength, grip endurance, and stability work to handle technical trails.
  • Air bike sprint intervals – simulating short, punchy climbs and longer sustained efforts with targeted work/rest ratios.

Program Details

  • Cost: $120 for 4 weeks ($15/session)
  • Capacity: Minimum 8 / Maximum 16 riders

This program is an excellent way to maintain and build fitness through the winter while preparing for spring riding and racing.
